We're proud to take steps toward a greener, cleaner planet — both in our veterinary care and our daily operations. We believe that the health of animals and the health of the environment go hand in hand. That’s why we’ve embedded sustainability into the heart of our practice.
Waste Reduction
From digital records to recycling schemes and reducing single-use plastics, we minimise waste every day.
- Recycling paper, cardboard and plastic at both sites.
- Reducing the amount of printed paper, by emailing invoices, receipts and prescriptions wherever possible.
- Recycling printer cartridges.
- Clear signage by all bins and reiterate waste segregation protocols.
- Use of oxygen generators instead of buying oxygen cylinders.
Energy Efficiency
We’ve upgraded to LED lighting, use energy-saving equipment, and constantly monitor our consumption.
- Auditing appliances, ensuring what can be switched off or put into power saving mode.
- Regular servicing to ensure equipment is working efficiently
Eco-Friendly Choices
We use recycled materials where possible and source sustainable products for both practice and patients such as using products made with less raw materials.
- Syringes made with less plastic and buster collars made from recycled materials.
- We are practising responsible medicine use and disposal
Environment Impact
We are trying to reduce emissions within the business.
- Working with suppliers to ensure they acknowledge and decrease the environmental impact of their products and transportation by encouraging contractors to complete equipment servicing repairs during the same visit.
- Encouraging staff to complete CPD virtually, whenever possible.
