Out of Hours Emergencies

Highfield Veterinary Surgery is not a 24 hour hospital

This means that any animals kept in the surgery overnight, do not have a member of staff with them overnight.  Animals are monitored by a video link and Vets and/or Nurses will visit as deemed necessary.

We therefore use the Queen Mother Hospital for Animals (also known as RVC) as our "Out of hours" cover.  When the surgery closes at 7pm Monday to Friday, until 8.30am, and from 1pm on Saturday until 8.30am on Monday.  They also provide full emergency cover for all bank holidays.

Please note that The Queen Mother Hospital for Animals is only available for advice and emergency treatment “out of hours”.

Below is a list of fees currently charged by the QMH, not including treatment.  Payment is required at the time of your pet's discharge, direct to the QMH.
