Spring is a wonderful time of year, but it also brings a range of hidden dangers for pets.
As gardens bloom and outdoor activities increase, pets are at greater risk of exposure to toxic plants like daffodils and tulips, harmful garden chemicals such as slug pellets and fertilisers, and the temptations of seasonal treats like chocolate and hot cross buns, which can be highly toxic.
Warmer weather also means more encounters with stinging insects, ticks, and even the UK's only venomous snake, the adder.
Additionally, spring cleaning products and overexertion during longer walks can pose serious health threats.
Staying aware of these risks and taking a few simple precautions can help keep pets safe and happy throughout the season.
